Meet the DJS

Martin Hodge

Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Martin has been a professional wedding DJ since 2001. In working hundreds of receptions, he has developed a reputation for being reliable, classy, detail-oriented and fun. Since moving to the Bay Area in 2008, he has adapted to the style of the California wedding.
His  professionalism is always at the forefront as he is punctual, reliable and responsible. During wedding receptions he works with the hall manager, photographers and videographers to ensure that everything goes smoothly and, with the use of his wireless microphone, he makes all necessary announcements without being obnoxious or overbearing.
As he is bilingual,  he has been the DJ and Emcee of many parties in both English and Spanish. Through DJing Latino weddings and a salsa night at a dance club in Michigan,he has gained extensive knowledge of salsa, merengue, bachata reggaeton, cumbia and other music in Spanish. Since moving to California, he has started to learn Mandarin and can pronounce Chinese names with little difficulty.
As far as the time of the night when the announcements end and the dancing begins, he is ready to get people moving. Martin has Djed a big club with 2000 people in Detroit, a tiny lounge in Oakland, one of the swankies clubs in San Francisco, and everything in between. He has had to read hundreds of dancefloors and brings that knowledge with him to every wedding!
